Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Blue Slipper Theatre! We have several positions available, depending on what you’re interested in. Typically, on nights where the theater is hosting an event, we need
- Ushers to greet our guests and assist them with finding their assigned seats. We’re a small theater, and the seats aren’t that hard to find, but people appreciate the warm welcome and personal touch.
- Hosts to serve refreshments upstairs in our kitchen/living room area, direct guests to the restrooms, and generally answer questions. Hosts may be asked to complete “safe server” training in compliance with state law, as The Blue Slipper serves beer and wine at performances.
- Actors to… act! From time to time we hold auditions for upcoming plays. If you’re interested in auditioning, fill out the form below and we’ll add you to the auditions mailing list.
- Technical people to run lights and sound, and build sets
- Producers to… produce! If you have an idea for a play that you want to produce, but you just need a suitable space, The Blue Slipper Theatre could be that space. Hit us up!
- Board Members to keep all of this running semi-smoothly.
